Summary of Job Duties: The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist surgeon with clinic, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, assist in the operating room, answer pages and round on post-operative patients on a daily and PRN basis. The APRN will be responsible for managing care of outpatients post-operatively, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. The APRN must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.

- Licensed RN in Arkansas, Current APRN License
- 4 years of Nursing experience

Job Requirements:
- Schedule and coordinate new and established patient appointments, follow-ups, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Coordinate referrals and ensure required documentation and authorizations are obtained prior to appointments.
- Register patients and accurately update demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and referral requirements.
- Respond to patient phone calls and portal messages and provide timely assistance with scheduling and clinic-related questions.
- Coordinate communication between patients, neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Assist with coordinating pre-operative and post-operative appointments and testing.
- Ensure medical records, imaging, referrals, and other clinical documentation are available for scheduled visits.
- Obtain and track prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and specialty services as required.
- Reschedule appointments and manage provider schedules while minimizing delays in patient care.
- Assist with identifying and resolving complex patient access and scheduling issues.
- Provide patients with instructions regarding appointments, testing, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Document patient interactions and scheduling activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Provide compassionate, professional customer service to patients and families dealing with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions
- Perform other job duties as needed.
