THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: Perform day-to-day accounting and staff-level financial analysis required for effective operations of the IT department. Key recurring areas of responsibility include: Month-End Accounting Close: Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, Accruals and Variance Analysis Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting Project Accounting Understanding of Accounting Policies & Procedures – Capitalization, Fixed Assets and Depreciation YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL OF THIS BY: Complete month-end accounting activities including journal entries and account reconciliations as well as maintain internal analysis and variance analysis Prepare month-end accruals for operating expenses Evaluate actual results vs. plan, generate internal reports and provide explanations for significant variances Work with Sr. Management to maintain capital and expense forecast schedules Prepare weekly, period and quarterly reporting and executive presentations that summarize financial results ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with key business partners (IT and non-IT) to obtain supporting information Support the financial reporting process and communication of results Coordinate submission of project funding requests for bi-weekly meetings Coordinate with the Program Management Office to perform certain analysis and reporting for project and business portfolios including communication the financial information on a monthly basis Periodically complete detailed project financial analysis including ROI calculations Provide direction to invoice coordinators on invoice processing, PO creation and vendor escalation. Review of IT legal agreements including Statements of Work and Change Orders for accuracy and compliance with company policies Key Interfaces: Information Technology Leadership Team – CIO, VPs, Directors and Managers Regular interaction with Accounting, FP&A and Procurement All areas of ULTA Beauty Information Technology ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: Qualified candidates will have Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related field and applicable work experience, 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
