GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Omnichannel Business Analyst will support the initiation and execution of projects to deliver new and enhanced capabilities within the Omnichannel portfolio of programs. The individual will work collaboratively across the organization with internal and external partners- typically Distribution and Transportation, Store Operations, Ecommerce/Digital, Merchandising, Finance, Loss Prevention and IT- to drive data analysis, KPI development, requirements definition, and as-is/to-be assessments that will ultimately lay the foundation for the development and deployment of innovative solutions in support of Ulta's Omnichannel roadmap and Enterprise strategy.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
  • Work with various business teams to create reports and dashboards to measure and inform stakeholder teams on KPI's and metrics
  • Drive the elicitation, definition, and documentation of requirements
  • Map current state and future state processes
  • Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional specifications
  • Support the facilitation of design sessions with stakeholder and development teams to define solution options
  • Capture action items and decisions and report the information across project and stakeholder teams
  • Prepare project statuses in terms of progress, risks, and issues
  • Develop and substantiate business cases
  • Contribute to the development of project plans
  • Coordinate user test case development and execution
  • Responsible for creating a continuous improvement process, investigating problems, generating recommendations, and implementing solutions based on the use of analytical tools


Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain and/or Analytics, or equivalent combination of work and education experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform analyses and identify solutions to resolve specific business needs
  • Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills
  • Experience documenting process flows and swim lane diagrams
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance and accomplish the stated goals
  • Highly developed problem solving and prioritization skills that will be demonstrated by the successful and timely completion of assignments
  • Ability to manage, drive, and accept accountability for project progress and quality
  • Good verbal and written skills to communicate with associates and all levels of management
  • Works with management and supervision in the evaluation and development of processes
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills with ability to interface with various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in team setting
  • Good understanding of fulfillment and physical distribution concepts
  • Must exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau or equivalent data visualization products, and MS Office products

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Some travel will be required
