THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

 

The Supply Chain Insights Analyst will help to influence key supply chain strategies by providing proactive analysis and sharing holistic insights with the supply chain team including operational trends that encompass vendor performance, transportation, DC Operations, etc. This individual will support the supply chain team and provide meaningful insights that help them better understand their business and uncover key opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity.

 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Developing of on-going proactive analysis and insights for all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Responding to specific requests by the supply chain team for insights on key, priority topics
  • Providing perspectives and frameworks and a disciplined problem-solving approach
  • Using a hypothesis-driven approach to structure analysis and efficient data collection
  • Gathering, analyzing and triangulating data from multiple internal and external data sources and use the data efficiently and effectively to derive meaningful and useful insights as well as actionable results for supply chain partners.
  • Communicating complex ideas in both analytical and user-friendly language to all levels and departments within the organization.
  • Evaluating and recommend efficiencies and effectiveness of defined strategies & time-lines.
  • Creating effective presentations that include influential data points utilizing easy to interpret visuals.
  • Eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, project team and other departments within the organization.
  • Present insights to Supply Chain team in group settings, including leaders
  • Automate processes and analyze data within Excel/Access or other analytical tools such as Tableau.
  • Transferring data into new formats to make it more appropriate for analysis.
  • Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant direct work experience in data analysis (with at least 1-2 years experience in strategy consulting with a top tier consulting firm preferred).
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel and Power-Point skills.
  • Clear planning and prioritizing skills; methodical and detailed work behavior
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience preparing, analyzing, visualizing and communicating data
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, able to prioritize appropriately and respond to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude.
  • Independent decision-making skills and the ability to recommend viable solutions to issues, processes, and data change requests.
  • Ability to perform exploratory data analysis.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python, R and Scala.
  • Prior retail industry experience or working knowledge preferred.
