Unified Women's Healthcare is the leading national platform for women's healthcare. Our affiliated practice, The Group for Women, is seeking a Full Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).

Position and Practice Highlights:

The practice consists of 9 OB/GYN Physicians, 3 Certified Nurse Midwives, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 3 Physician Assistants and 1 Family and Marriage Therapist along with a great support staff. The practice has been serving women in the Hampton Roads area for over 100 years. This practice has a 1:9 call schedule.

This practice does all their deliveries and GYN surgical procedures at Sentara Leigh Hospital. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a family friendly team that prioritizes top-notch patient care and work/life balance. The physicians are skilled and supportive in training new physicians in minimally invasive surgery options including total vaginal hysterectomies, total laparoscopic hysterectomies, DaVinci robotic procedures as well as in office procedures with and without anesthesia.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological examinations
  • Providing comprehensive gynecological care, antepartum care and assisting with childbirth in our hospital setting
  • Collaborating with our team of physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
  • Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
  • Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
  • CPR and NALS Certification

  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
