Position Summary: 

This is a limited position.  Incumbent performs the essential functions of the Admissions Department, which can include Pre-Admission, Financial Counseling, Insurance Notification, Verification and Authorization, Management of Unscheduled Admissions in either Acute Care or Mental Health Admissions.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $24.66                  Midpoint              $27.66               Maximum $30.65

Required Qualifications:

Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of Government and Commercial Insurance Plans

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Managed Care plans

Demonstrated ability to utilize payer and government websites to access and interpret health plan benefit packages and make determinations

Demonstrated experience with referral authorization process

Experience in a hospital or medical office setting

Experience with registration and/or billings computer software programs

Must demonstrate general understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to ensure proper billing or financial procedures for patients

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Experience with computer software programs such as EPIC or other registration programs
