Job Description

General Summary

As an Ob/Gyn with UM Charles Regional, you will provide high-quality, efficient, patient-centered, and cost-effective care to assigned patients in ambulatory, sub-acute, or acute care settings. Full-time commitment entails a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, typically spread over five (5) full workdays. 1:3 rotating on-call coverage.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide excellence in patient care and communication.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of patient services according to established standards.
  • Support UM Charles Regional's goals and objectives.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs as assigned.
  • Supervise administrative responsibilities of non-physician staff.
  • Ensure compliance with UM Charles Regional policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Contribute to budget development and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Engage in community activities to enhance physician visibility.
  • Collaborate with administration to improve productivity and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in disease management programs to enhance care effectiveness.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Current license to practice medicine in Maryland.
  • Ob/Gyn Board Certification or Board Eligibility
  • DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification.
  • Clinical privileges at a UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
  • Meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience for the position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, visitors, and stakeholders.
