Description

The Academic Support Coordinator position is a key member of the Graduate programs team in the Dean's office of the Jindal School of Management. As the school grows, we need an energetic, detail-oriented individual with great customer service skills. The position will provide opportunities for creative problem-solving and innovation to help faculty and students succeed.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four or more years of administrative office experience in an academic environment. Excellent computer skills with various programs and ability to work with specialized databases. Outstanding customer service skills.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work in the Graduate Programs team in the Dean's office focused on supporting initiatives around graduate recruitment and student engagement.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to set up webinars and act as the point of contact for third-party for operational activities related to the same.
  • Work on data collection, analysis and reporting as needed for the activities related to the graduate programs.
  • Managing the various mailboxes for graduate programs and by replying to or coordinating replies to all student or prospect inquiries,
  • Help with administering the various operations of the Dean's Council and other student organizations as needed.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to plan and direct departmental events.
  • Work closely with the school's media and marketing team to promote events and projects.
  • Manage and complete various administrative and operational tasks per the needs of the department.
  • Organize and present at staff meetings, as needed.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills, especially Word and Excel, are necessary.


Additional Information

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
