Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is the clinician-led medical group that provides care exclusively for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state. With over 1,300 clinicians across more than 30 specialties, WPMG is one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty group practices in the Pacific Northwest.

Summary

Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time 1.0 FTE Urologic Physician to join our Tacoma Medical Center team in Tacoma, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and physician collaboration.  

Position Highlights:

This is a multi-disciplinary practice involving the full breadth of urology. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, physician assistants, and robust support staff, including RNs and MAs. Travel between sites may be required.

Core components of this position include:

  • Full-time position in general urology with a focus on the complete spectrum of urologic care
  • Possible travel to other Kaiser Permanente clinics in the region (e.g. Olympia.)
  • Excellent salary and benefits package with shareholder track
  • Fellowship expertise or robotics experience not required.
  • The ideal candidate will be interested in a general urology practice. Special interest in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery or Endourology is supported.
Kaiser -Tacoma Medical Center is a multispecialty medical center. Lab, Radiology and Pharmacy on site. Office hours are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday with Urgent Care open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $479,030 to $563,565 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience.) 
  • Value-Based Incentives: Annual bonus based on organizational goals and quality metrics
  • Generous Employer Retirement Contributions: Upon eligibility, WPMG will contribute 11% of your base salary to your 401(K), with additional employee contributions being optional

New Hire Incentives:

  • Signing Bonus: New Hires are eligible to receive a 10% sign-on bonus
  • Relocation Allowance: Up to $13,000 (based on location at time of offer)

Qualifications

  • Required: BE/BC by the American Board of Urology
  • Preferred: Ideal candidate will be interested in a general urology practice. Special interest in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery or Endourology is supported. 
  • Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA 
  • Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
