As a Tech B, you'll perform mid-level diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across fleet vehicles and equipment
- Perform maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Complete repairs identified through DVIRs and work orders
- Use diagnostic tools and onboard computer systems to troubleshoot failures
- Follow factory service manuals to ensure accurate and efficient repairs
- Perform safety inspections on vehicles and equipment
- Communicate with drivers and supervisors regarding vehicle issues and preventive maintenance
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for all work performed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethics
- Support and assist lower-level technicians as needed
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Suspension systems
- Brake systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals
- Ability to complete work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate labor/material needs
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support others in the shop
- CDL Class B preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
