Description
Seeking two Hospitalists to join growing hospitalist program. Consulting staff include Pulmonology/Intensivist. General Surgery, Orthopedics Surgery physicians, and via tele-health Cardiology; Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology. Western Missouri Medical Center is licensed for 62 beds, with a significant geriatric medical population who frequently require medical management.
- Full Time, Flexible schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off

- EMR: Oracle Cerner
- Responsibilities include admissions, distributing patients and responding to rapids/codes. Work with 1 NP who will be cross covering and assisting with admissions.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides evidence based medical care to those patients of participating community physicians.
- Responds to emergencies of all patients and responds as part of the Rapid Response Team.
- Participates in medical staff quality improvement and review activities.
- Complies with all medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- Opportunity to precept medical students
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree: Doctorate in Medicine (MD/DO), board certification in Internal Medicine
- Experience preferred but not required
- License: Missouri State Medical/Osteopathic Doctor
- Current Drug Enforcement Association (DEA) license required/BNDD
- Stroke certification per specified specialty practice required (NIHSS).
