About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel who has equal parts sharp legal mind, trusted advisor, and collaborative problem-solver. In this role, you won't just interpret the law, you'll help shape how we operate, grow, and support our people.
You'll partner closely with teams across the company, with a special focus on all things Human Resources, and team up with our litigation crew to navigate challenges before they become headlines. If you enjoy turning complex legal puzzles into clear, practical guidance (and maybe even making it look easy), you might be exactly who we're looking for.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with Human Resources and the litigation team to advise on employee complaints, workplace investigations, and employment policies and best practices
- Collaborate with internal and external counsel on employment, regulatory, and related legal disputes across domestic and international operations
- Monitor and interpret evolving labor and employment laws, providing compliance guidance and managing outside counsel relationships
- Develop, implement, and improve strategies, processes, and procedures to support HR and handle litigation, complaints, and investigations effectively
- Assess legal and business risks, advising management on compliance, policy development, and strategic decision-making
- Review, analyze, and negotiate a variety of contracts, and communicate with external stakeholders including regulators, customers, and legal representatives
Who You Are:
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active and current Bar membership in the United States with no record of discipline
- Eight years of relevant legal experience, with some meaningful commercial litigation experience
- Basic understanding of or the ability to learn about software development, complex relational databases, cloud computing, and software-as-a-service (SaaS)
- Highest level of professional ethics and personal integrity and sound judgment
- Superlative oral and written communication skills
- Strong and demonstrated ability to work individually and as a team, including under pressure, with minimal direct supervision and while managing many competing priorities
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat®, Microsoft® Word, and Outlook, and ability to learn and use proprietary customer/matter management software
- Friendly, collegial, and collaborative disposition
Ideal to Have:
- California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, and Texas employment law experience
- Mix of law firm and in-house legal experience
- Risk assessment and management experience
- Experience working with software developers or technology teams
