Salary: $82,936 - $141,739

The Lead Asset Manager is a critical role within our contract logistics division, responsible for the hands-on management and optimization of our asset portfolio, with a strong focus on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), WAIRE program compliance, major rack projects, and construction initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of contract logistics operations, asset lifecycle management, project management principles, and environmental regulations related to warehouse operations. This individual will work closely with procurement, safety & security, and other departments to ensure asset availability, maximize utilization, drive sustainability initiatives, and oversee key projects.

· MHE Management: Provide support and recommendation on the lifecycle of new MHE. Working with Procurement to identify improvement opportunities and deployment of maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and disposal. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize asset lifespan and minimize downtime. Assist with tracking MHE performance and utilization metrics.

· WAIRE Program Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the WAIRE program. Develop and implement strategies to meet WAIRE program requirements, including emissions reduction targets, reporting obligations, and any required audits. Track progress on emissions reduction targets and document required data. Stay up-to-date on any changes or updates to the WAIRE program regulations. Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified WAIRE compliance gaps.

· Rack Project Management: Manage all major rack tear-down and build-up projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety standards. Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors as needed.

· Construction Project Management: Manage all major local construction projects. Oversee construction projects outside of California on an as-needed basis. Coordinate with internal teams, architects, engineers, and contractors. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.

· Fire Suppression Compliance: Work closely with the Safety and Security team to ensure compliance with all fire suppression requirements. Track inspections, maintenance, and repairs of fire suppression systems. Implement solutions to resolve minor/major issues.

· Asset Tracking: Implement and maintain systems for tracking all company assets. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of asset location, condition, and maintenance history

Minimum Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, project management, or a related field, preferably within a contract logistics or warehousing environment.

· Strong understanding of MHE and warehouse operations.

· Familiarity with environmental regulations, particularly those related to warehouse operations and emissions reduction programs (e.g., WAIRE).

· Experience managing construction and/or rack installation projects.

· Knowledge of fire suppression systems and compliance requirements.

· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Essential Job Functions

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Work overtime as required/ assigned. (Include if applicable). Remove as all Salary/Exempt employees are expected to work as needed.

· Travel overnight as required. (Include if applicable). This should be applicable

· Work cooperatively with others.

· Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.

· Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule including but not limited to: [Visio, AutoCad, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook] software.

· Review and analyze data and information concerning [spend data, including but not limited to: MHE Leases, Asset Depreciations, Capital Expenses, Operating Expenses ]

· Plan, prioritize and monitor [MHE, Construction, Racking, and Project Management ] activities.

· Complete [or oversee the completion of ] assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.

· Comply with all Company policies and procedures
