Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required

Work Experiences:

  • 5+ years of related work experience. 
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Communication – effective listening, speaking and writing
  • Ability to resolve issues in a calm, professional manner
  • Analyze problems in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to prioritize

  • Strong attention to details
  • Parts inventory and ordering experience
  • Interpersonal skills that promote collaboration with maintenance team, operations team and outside vendors

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction to Distribution Center Maintenance team members to include overseeing schedules and work distribution
  • Assist manager with establishing good working relationships
  • Delegate work assignments and advise team members of techniques to be used to complete assignments
  • Track the timeliness and accuracy of the assigned tasks
  • Determine the type of materials, supplies, machinery or tools to be used for assignments
  • Maintain working knowledge of fire/burglary alarm systems, layout and operations for the Distribution Center and office facility
  • Respond to maintenance related issues and fire/burglar alarms
  • Assist in providing a safe and hostile free work environment for all team members in the Distribution Center and office facility.
  • Assist with training of other Maintenance team members 
  • Provide support for the entire facility with focus on development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
  • Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance, and troubleshooting of all material handling systems' electrical and controls components
  • Troubleshoot and repair all material handling systems
  • Respond to and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner; may require 24-hour availability for emergency response
  • Assist in the purchase of spare parts and components necessary to minimize system downtime
  • Contact equipment manufacturers for updates, upgrades, and technical support information
  • Maintain equipment maintenance and repair logs
  • Maintain facility, campus, building, and material storage
  • Maintain working knowledge and troubleshooting of fire protection systems
  • Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Duties may change; Team Member may be required to perform other duties as assigned

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to be available to address issues as necessary (nights, evenings, weekends, holidays)
