About the Role
We are seeking a safety focused, highly motivated Mobile Maintenance Supervisor with a passion for people to lead out Mobile Maintenance Huntly Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe execution of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
You will part of a supportive team on 5 panel – 12 hour shift roster. As a shift position Alcoa is excited to help balance work and personal lives. This role will be eligible for 5 weeks of annual leave per year.
In this leadership role you will be responsible for the operation and management of the assigned Mobile Maintenance team. The key challenges will be to develop the team capabilities to achieve business objectives and
lasting improvements.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent your key responsibilities include:
Provide safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to your team, understanding their strengths in work to ensure that safety is first and work is completed to a high-quality standard.
Completing daily work area inspections and conduct regular leader time in field with interactions that develop a safe and efficient work culture.
Prioritising Mobile Maintenance activities, including coordinating parts and labour to achieve both planned and unplanned work in accordance with statutory and environment requirements.
Driving continuous improvement with a strong focus on cost savings, productivity improvements and risk management.
Optimising crew performance through coordination, coaching and feedback.

What you can bring to the role
A commitment to continuous improvement, especially regarding Health, Safety and the Environment.
Well-developed communication skills enabling you to interact well with all levels of the organisation.
Confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members.
Relevant trade qualification and/or experience in a Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership position with proven experience operating in a field leadership role, preferably with in depth knowledge of large-scale earthmoving equipment maintenance (Excavators, Rigid Dump Trucks, Dozers, Low Loaders etc)
You should hold or be willing to complete Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation. Alcoa will provide support in obtaining accreditation.
A current and valid ‘C Class” manual drive's license.

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world's second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa's Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa's Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia's alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia's aluminium.
