About the Role

As the Operations Performance Manager reporting to the Regional Plan & Governance Manager in the Booragoon office, you will play an integral role in providing a link between each operation and assisting the Australian lead team in prioritising and focusing their business plan, actions, and initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to utilise your knowledge of operational systems and expertise in program management to support the business in the long term by achieving planned and forecast results for EHS, production, financial returns, and social license to operate.
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a systematic and effective Project Management office to prioritise, coordinate and track operational task forces, initiatives, and cross functional teams.

  • Ensuring that the Regional Plan & Governance Manager and the Operations leadership team have prepared agendas, papers and presentations for routine and other meetings as required.

  • Facilitating and assisting the coordination of COE and functional resources and initiatives into the operational priorities to achieve the best outcomes for the business.

  • Generating materials and information to assist with communication throughout the organisation on priorities, desired outcomes, progress and celebrating achievements. 

  • Maintaining and developing enhanced networks into operations and the COE's for the purpose of building stronger collaboration and generating insights for leaders.

  • Helping drive leading practice improvement of current value chain processes; facilitating identification and scoping of high value initiatives to engineer productivity and process improvement.

What you can bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related discipline.

  • Broad background within the mining / manufacturing industry with proven experience in workshop facilitation and senior leader coaching.

  • Skilled in applying technical and operational knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation.

  • Demonstrated scrum master experience with exposure to Power BI developments and Agile planning and execution will be highly regarded.

  • Deep working knowledge and understanding of operational KPI management systems and processes.

  • Strong capability to influence multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively with key peers and customers.

  • An analytical mind, with strong detail orientation and a creative approach to problem-solving.

  • A developed level of understanding of finance and management accounting.
