The Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute has an exciting full-time practice opportunity for a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join our skilled and collegial group based out of Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Abbott Northwestern's Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute is the leading center for neurological care in the Twin Cities and Upper Midwest.

Practice Specifics:

  • 3 Neurosurgeons, 5 APPs and 1 Nurse Clinician
  • 4-8 patient encounters per day
  • Call 1 week every 3 weeks. As we add neurosurgeons, this coverage will be less
  • The Neuro team performs more than 2,000 major neurological surgeries and 1,000 neuro interventional procedures
  • Comprehensive resource for neurological care and information
  • Technological resources include Intraoperative MRI Suite (iMRI), Varian Trilogy, Stealth Navigation, on-site intraoperative Neuromonitoring
  • Excellian, our EMR, is an Epic based product considered to be one of the most comprehensive systems in the nation

Qualification:

  • Must have current, unrestricted Minnesota State Medical Licensure at time of hire
  • BE/BC Board Eligible or Board Certified in ABNS
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an approved school of medicine
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Neurological Surgery
  • ACLS/BLS required within 6 months of hire
