THE ROLE:

The Business Planning Manager will be responsible for the Embedded Sales Forecast process and will play a key role leading our Sales revenue forecasting and business management efforts.  This is an individual contributor role that is part of the Business Planning and Operations team within the Adaptive and Embedded Compute Group (AECG) business unit and has responsibilities for both the AECG BU as well as the Embedded Sales organization. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and aligning various revenue forecasts and managing execution toward company goals.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills along with proven experience in revenue management and forecasting processes.  You are the leader for driving the Sales forecast process, including defining best practices, communicating and collaborating on forecast needs, working closely with the Sales VPs and the Sales Operations team, consolidating the various inputs of the revenue forecast from multiple stakeholders, and providing analytics and insights to the AECG executive team.  You have a deep understanding of revenue and business management processes and are comfortable with making decisions and influencing change to processes and systems.  You have experience working cross-functionally and demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate and drive organizational goals and process improvements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process owner for the Embedded Sales forecast process, coordinating with Sales VPs and Managers on deliverables, data needs, format and timing 
  • Proactively plans for and manages evolution / improvements in the Embedded Sales forecasting process, collaborating with stakeholders to drive meaningful process improvements and change management
  • Provide insight through data and analytics relative to revenue and other key business metrics, with a focus on supporting the weekly, monthly and annual forecasting processes
  • Management of Sales forecast cycle in Salesforce.com
  • Partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Facilitate weekly revenue attainment meetings, work cross functionally to ensure data accuracy; present insightful findings on updated Sales forecasts, revenue progress to goals, highlight key changes, and communicate potential risk
  • Provides coordination and support of annual planning processes; AOP targets for Embedded Sales VPs
  • Helps to set and communicate quarterly and annual Targets and Plans
  • Revenue reporting and analysis, including, but not limited to, revenue by customer, market, actuals vs. target, etc.
  • Provide forecast performance metrics and drive process improvements
  • Development of reporting and analytics, leveraging various tools where appropriate (PowerBI, SFDC, etc.) in order to provide process improvements for business intelligence, speed, and accuracy
  • Act as an SME and provide requirements, testing and support of any new or updated revenue or forecast related infrastructure
  • Additional duties may include supporting other Sales & Marketing projects, as required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Prior experience in business planning, financial reporting & analysis, or Sales & Marketing Operations
  • High-tech industry experience is preferred, and an understanding of semiconductor business is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, coupled with solid communication, teamwork, and business acumen competencies
  • Strong working knowledge of revenue accounting processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel a must; PowerBI or other reporting tools is desirable
  • Hands-on experience managing and analyzing large volumes of data efficiently, financial modeling techniques are highly desirable
  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with strong influencing skills

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required (Finance, Accounting, Marketing); MBA is an advantage
