THE ROLE:

We are looking for a hardworking individual who is passionate about implementing data science and operating analytical solutions that have a direct impact on AMD's business. You will join a new team, which offers phenomenal potential to grow and make your mark.

You will work closely with internal clients to understand business needs in order to develop robust data models to forecast and optimize business outcomes. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with sales, product, business unit partners to deliver predictive models, dashboards, planning tools, & reports.

  • Passionate about business intelligence
  • Experience with BI tools and SQL, along with business acumen

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Supports integrated business planning database / data models in order to support key decision makers.
  • Aligns with key stakeholders in order to capture assumptions and inputs to support forecasting and analysis.
  • Builds predictive models for sales and production forecasts
  • Drives requirements for new corporate BI initiatives and reviews and implements new technology to support business planning initiatives
  • Develops dashboards and reports
  • Supports ad hoc analytics
  • Drives new tool adoptions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • STRONG experience developing reports, researching, analyzing and problem-solving using end-user tools such as BI tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Einstein Analytics (Wave Analytics)
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, such as KNIME/Alteryx, strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with database and data warehouse designs, data modeling, data performance tuning, data integration.
  • Experience with relational SQL and No-SQL databases
  • Experience with DAX and MDX preferred
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Java, preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, such as Hadoop and Spark, preferred.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related fields is preferred.
