THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a Hardware System Enablement Engineer to join our Embedded Processor Group and Customer Engineering team to develop world-class design collateral around EPYC and Ryzen processors. In this impactful role you will engage with multiple teams at AMD as well as customers and partners to drive the best customer experience through proper technical enablement.

THE PERSON:

An engineer who is detail oriented and passionate about helping AMD customers design the latest, industry leading solutions in industrial, storage and networking and automotive segments.

KEY RESPONSIBIILITIES:

• Work with engineering on timely delivery of technical collateral.
• Design documentation
• Customer Reference Boards
• Tools
• FW & BIOS
• SW
• Benchmarking data
• Provide technical review and editorial of engineering documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering collateral.
• Ensure best Out-Of-The-Box customer experience.
• Deliver technical training to internal teams.
• Work with Technical Marketing on customer training material.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Deep knowledge of x86 platform design process.
• Expertise in hardware architecture, logic/circuit design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience in design and debugging HW issues on SoC and x86 platform.
• Experience with industry standards and interfaces DDR, JEDEC, PCIe, USB, Ethernet.
• Familiarity with System FW and BIOS.
• Familiarity with programming / scripting language (C/C++, Python, Perl, ...).
• Familiarity with Server OSes (Linux, Windows Server).
• Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions with the customer and internal teams.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize, and manage multiple work streams to meet tight deadlines.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
