Manufacturing Technician 2 - Back-end Shift

 

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Accountable for the maintenance of ATE test equipment for NPI development in a lab environment. Provides Lab operation support during the test development and sample generation phases for AMD's microprocessor and graphics products.

 

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supports Lab operations for NPI activities across product lines.
  2. Performs test data analysis and drives improvements in test equipment performance and reliability.
  3. Owns Lab test equipment performance, reliability, debug support.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Familiar with all ATE test hardware (Logic Testers, Handlers, Load Boards, & Sockets)
  2. Has Advantest 93K tester applications skills.
  3. Proficient in the operation of ATE equipment such as handlers and manual insertion bench units.
  4. Familiar with electro-mechanical equipment.
  5. Familiar with Active Thermal Control (ATC) systems theory and practical application.
  6. Experience working with engineering labs and/or high-volume manufacturing test facilities.
  7. Strong communication skills at both technical and executive levels, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft standard products: Windows Operating Systems and Office applications

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  1. Experienced working with Delta, HonTech, & Advantest handlers

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Associate degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
