THE ROLE: 

Work with global Front-End design team and physical design team for large scale ASIC chip physical implementation. Focus on physical design of deep sub-micron GPU chips including block level / full chip floor planning, timing closure, place&route, physical verification etc. The individual is expected to be an expert in multiple aspects in PD areas and provide technically leadership to the engineering team. The individual is also expected to be accountable for project delivery.

THE PERSON:  

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Work with global Front-End design team and physical design team for large scale ASIC chip physical implementation.
• Focus on physical design of the most advanced GPU chips including block level / full chip floor planning, timing closure, place&route, physical verification, RTL and PPA improment, etc.
• The individual is expected to be an expert in multiple aspects in PD areas and provide technically leadership to the engineering team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

• B.S with 8+ years of experience or MS with 5+ years of experience in ASIC design
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of ASIC design flow
• Hands on experience of real tapeouts in nanometer process
• Demonstrate strong leadership and work well with cross-functional teams
• Good listening, writing and speaking English
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in IC design EDA tools
• Proficient in Python/Tcl scripts
• Familiar with RTL coding is a plus
• Familiar with AI/ML adoption is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
