Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Sys/Test Validation Eng. to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Find and resolve silicon platform issues. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Develop AMD methodologies and execution of system integration plans and debugging. Deliver the company's next generation of system tests for our emerging products. Create and execute test procedures to validate the design of various CPU power management features. Make improvements to system level integration test strategies, methodologies, and processes. Collaborate with multi-functional hardware and software teams to debug and tackle complex issues. Collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon integration teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features. Use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure zero quality escapes. Develop and improve automation features according to requirements. Work with IP (Intellectual Property) designers to build knowledge of internal designs. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company proprietary products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
1.Performing software verification and validation in semiconductor devices or products;
2.Test design, development, execution, and automation in semiconductor devices or products;
3.Linux or Unix environments;
4.SoC and system-level debugging;
5.C, C++, or Python;
6.Software debugging using Linux or Unix; and
7.Data structures.
