THE ROLE:

  • We are looking for an experienced 3D graphics driver engineer or developer to develop and optimize our DX12 drivers for Ray Tracing support on a wide range of AMD GPU products. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the cutting edge of Ray Tracing and GPU architecture.

 

THE PERSON:

  • You are passionate about Ray Tracing technology and have good hands-on experience and understanding of GPU architecture and DirectX 12 Ray Tracing programming. In addition to general software development skills in C++, you are able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and optimize Ray Tracing BVH acceleration structure generation and traversal execution on AMD GPUs
  • Mentor junior team members on Ray Tracing technology and our DX12 driver solution
  • Participate in critical triage of quality and performance issues with production hardware and game titles
  • Work with AMD driver technical leads and researchers on influencing future AMD GPU Ray Tracing architecture and supporting tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Good understanding of GPU architecture, memory management, and Windows Driver Development Model (WDDM)
  • Some DX12 programming experience, including Ray Tracing
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
