THE ROLE:

This role requires hands on execution, with focus on processing demand commits, customer order, and customer demand forecasts . The successful candidate will  help drive results across AMD on behalf of Supply Chain Operations (SCO). Responsibilities include end-to-end instance timeline ownership and collaboration with internal teams and business owners to achieve those timelines and results.

The role also includes engaging and collaborating with Planning, BU, Customer operations, Logistics, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and other groups as required to resolve issues pertaining to supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process demand commits, customer order, and customer demand forecasts in SAP and internal forecast tool.
  • Perform customer-centric value chain planning to improve customer service levels while reducing costs, thus positively impacting growth and profitability.
  • Issue Factory builds instructions
  • Collaborate with internal partners on forecast deltas based on actual customer demand
  • ATP ( Available to promise) planning after ERP plan to improve/meet current customer commitments
  • Plan, schedule and monitor of the movement of product from customer order through delivery and shipment.
  • Monitor materials/good movement to determine if inventory needs to be increased or decreased to meet customer's production needs.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on backlog reviews or customers' pull in requests and ensure that delivery schedules are met in a timely manner and communicated to customers and internal sales department.
  • Utilize ERP to analyze inventory reports, trends, discrepancies, and to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain inventory planning tool rules and supply profile to maximize demand commits.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and OSATS for materials receipt in a timely manner to meet customer demand commits.
  • Lead and collaborate projects to drive improvements and efficiencies across the supply chain team.
  • Run necessary reports to KPI monitoring and performance.
  • Manage backlog, analyze and resolve transactional issues that may prevent on time shipments and to ensure that the customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and implement supply chain department best practices, procedures, and policies and ensures that the team stays on target.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience in Business and Supply Chain.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables).
  • Proficiency in a larger ERP system (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, six-sigma, and just-in-time processes.
  • Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement projects.
  • Previous experience building out best practices in supply chain and defining KPIs and key metrics.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Math related is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Certifications a plus.
