THE ROLE:

AMD's Cores Organization develops industry-leading CPUs that power our server, client, gaming, and AI products. We are seeking an entry-level candidate with a background in engineering, computer science, or a related field to join our innovative team.

In this role, you will contribute to the design and deployment of pre-silicon design metrics that support global standards for tracking engineering progress. You'll collaborate with program managers and engineering leaders to define dashboards and reports that evolve with project needs. Your work will directly support AMD's next-generation CPU cores.

 

THE PERSON:

You bring strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. You're comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and you thrive in environments that encourage innovation and continuous improvement. You communicate clearly and respectfully with team members across different locations and backgrounds.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that support engineering teams in tracking CPU design progress.
  • Analyze business processes and engineering data to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and support program evaluation.
  • Identify gaps and propose creative, data-driven solutions to improve operational rigor.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and building databases.
  • Proficiency in data processing tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, or similar.
  • Familiarity with scripting or object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, C, Tcl).
  • Understanding of VLSI design concepts and basic computer architecture.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
