The Role:

As part of this team, you will debug and manage manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors, work on internal System Level Test (SLT) platforms, and debug test infrastructure issues including test HW, test SW, diagnostics, and device-specific IP.  Additionally, you will leverage SLT data to drive improvements in either the product's platform software or upstream ATE test coverage.  The engineer must ensure overall compatibility, compliance, and test coverage of microprocessors from product definition through product qualification and into high-volume manufacturing by developing product specific test hardware, software, and diagnostics.

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and ability to quickly develop expertise across hardware, firmware, and software domains.  Good communication is also a must-have, as the position requires interfacing with team members from multiple disciplines.  New graduates are encouraged to apply!

  

Required Skills:

BS/MS EE or CompE or equivalent

Experience in System Level Test / BIOS / FW Development

C++, Java, C, or C#.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, shell script, or similar

Familiar with general Computer Architecture concepts such as pipelining, cache hierarchy, x86 architecture, and PC computer organization

Experience with logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools

Familiarity with Linux or Unix Operating Systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft standard apps (i.e. Office), Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams
