AMD Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group is seeking a high-energy Senior Product Marketing Manager to join this fast-growing team.
The focus of the role is to promote and grow AMD's embedded CPU business in the Wired and Wireless Networking, Security, and Storage segments. The responsibilities of the role are quite diverse and involve various aspects of product marketing.
The Person:
This role requires a deep technical background in the Processor, Networking, Security, or storage domain. No prior marketing experience is required. Architects, designers, and application engineers who are passionate about technology and interested in exploring marketing can make a seamless transition into this role. It offers a chance to leverage your technical expertise while gaining valuable experience in product marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Product Marketing: Collaborating closely with the sales team to secure new customer designs. This involves understanding customer requirements, and competitive offerings and aligning them with AMD's embedded CPU offerings.
- Design Win to Production Ramp: Coordinating with both factory and field teams to ensure a smooth transition from design wins to full production volume.
- Engaging Lead Customers: Interacting with lead customers to gain insights into key market and technology trends and feed this information to MRD for new product development.
- Market Research and SAM/TAM Analysis: Studying market research reports and performing SAM/TAM analysis to identify potential growth areas and market opportunities.
- Competitive Analysis: Understanding market dynamics and competitive solutions by conducting a SWOT analysis and developing effective positioning statements that highlight the strengths of AMD's embedded processor product line.
- Sales Enablement: Creating a comprehensive set of sales tools, including customer presentations and sales training materials to communicate the unique value proposition of AMD's embedded processor products.
Requirements:
- High-energy, Self-driven, Thorough, and Detail-oriented
- Logical and Good Common Sense
- Solid Engineering Experience in Processor, Networking, Security, or Storage Domain
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Comfortable Presenting to Customers and Executives
- Prior Experience in Customer-Facing Role (Preferred)
