SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER  

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.  

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Will be responsible for verification and validation of Versal devices for Vivado tool flows
• Work with broader set of people/teams to scope, define and rigorously test new software features working toward high quality software releases
• Actively explores innovative methods for verification and validation of tool flows with smaller or bigger designs
• Uses the product as a customer would to understand strengths and areas for improvement. Performs advanced interactive testing and can assist with defining quality metrics

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Self-driven, motivated, focused, results oriented individual with superior academic achievements
• Excellent communication skills for working remotely with global team
• Experience in verification/validation of complex designs, preferably in FPGA domain, with knowledge on Vivado, IP Integrator etc.
• Strong understanding of Logic design, Digital Signal Processing and FPGA implementation flow, timing analysis, Design Constraints etc
• Understanding of Protocols like DDR3, DDR4, PCIE, USB etc with some design background on these domains
• Expertise in: Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog, RTL coding etc
• Good Knowledge in Tcl, Python scripting

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• BS in EC/EE/EI with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years of experience in electronic design and software development
