Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Software Development Engineers to: Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet

related tools. Validate new software features before releasing. Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design. Contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable,

and innovative system. Work in an area of specialization to develop systems-level software, working on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design,

development, and testing of various AMD systems and products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following:

1.Managing the end-to-end product life cycle;

2.Utilizing Java, Python, SQL or ReactJS to develop backend or frontend applications;

3.Utilizing DevOps technologies, such as Jenkins, AWS Services, Git, Kubernetes, or Docker to automate the process of building, testing, and deploying applications;

4.Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with open-source technologies to streamline software development and operations;

5.Performing software verification, including reviewing requirements documents and design specifications, and performing tests and code reviews to identify defects early in the software development lifecycle;

6.Utilizing Linux for automation, scripting, and managing cloud infrastructure; and

7.Data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
