THE ROLE
The Global Physical Security Administrator is responsible for managing AMD's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Physical Security across all global sites. This role collaborates with Regional Security Managers to ensure standardized best practices, supports the Crisis Management Team during emergencies, and partners with AMD leadership to address strategic and operational security needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budget & Financial Oversight
- Manage global Physical Security AOP, including OPEX and labor budgets.
- Collaborate with Regional Security Managers to produce monthly variance reports.
- Work with AMD Finance to prepare purchase orders and request accruals as needed.
- Crisis Management & Emergency Response
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Management Team, contributing to training, development, and emergency response efforts.
- Support special events and disaster coverage planning in coordination with AMD management.
- Executive Protection & Compliance
- Oversee security operations at the AMD Austin Campus, ensuring protection of executive personnel.
- Conduct compliance audits to verify adherence to contract requirements and internal standards.
- Policy Development & Benchmarking
- Lead the creation and implementation of global Physical Security policies and guidelines.
- Benchmark AMD's security programs against industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Foster collaboration among global security teams.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance team effectiveness.
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of North American security staff.
- Vendor & Contract Oversight
- Ensure all Physical Security contracts comply with state and federal regulations.
- Address unresolved complaints escalated from regional teams and ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Strategic Support & Communication
- Advise on operational and administrative matters to promote process standardization.
- Meet regularly with AMD leadership to assess global security needs, review progress, and support strategic initiatives.

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and crisis management skills.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with AMD management.
- Lead project planning and execution for security-related initiatives.Primarily office-based with occasional travel to North American AMD sites.
- Must be flexible with work hours, including non-scheduled shifts.
- Ability to remain alert and aware in dynamic environments.
- Must use proper body mechanics and be capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
