System Manageability – Test architect  

THE ROLE: 

We are seeking an engineer to join our team that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, using effective communication, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well-suited for our team.  

THE PERSON: 

This AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) team is looking for a senior level person that can help guide the team, mentor upcoming developers, provide long range strategy, and is willing to jump in to help resolve issues quickly. You will be involved in all areas that impact the team including performance, automation, and development. The right candidate will be informed on the latest trends and become prepared to give consultative direction to senior management.  

Experience: 15+ Years, with 4 years of experience on Test architecture for Client and/or Server manageability function

Job Description

The personnel will be responsible for architecting the test cases for the System manageability including simulating the IT network scaling from a few to several thousand machines.

Work with 3rd party IT teams to understand their setup & simulate

Skills

• 15+ years of experience, of which at least 4 years on architecting the System manageability use case testing
• Experience in technically driving the System manageability test teams
• Hands on experience on Microsoft manageability solutions like Intune, SCCM
• Familiarity with manageability protocols like DASH, Redfish
• Paying attention to details
• Participation in the DMTF forums is preferred

Responsibilities

• Technically drive the Release and Test Engineering System manageability teams (Test architect).
• Collaborate with the Development & Product management teams in planning the Manageability roadmap
• Co-ordinate with FTE & support teams for the demonstrations to the potential customers
• Support the development team in narrowing down for triaging the issues
• A powerful desire to learn new skills and understand new features as they are added 
• Proven record of accomplishment of working within and across groups
• Effective communication skills 
• Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve product 
• Work closely with other team members to understand design architecture and to propose solutions to improve and enhance products 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
