THE ROLE:
AMD NBIO (North Bridge IO) team delivers industry leading high-performance interconnects IP subsystems for all AMD products including Gaming APU and GPU, Client Desktop and Laptop APU, Server CPU and GPU etc. IP subsystems delivered by global NBIO organizations include PCIe, IOHUB (for high-speed IO device routing and IO virtualization), CIT (for high-speed interconnect among chiplets and UALink among DCGPUs), DACC (for IO acceleration) and future opportunities. Global NBIO organization operates seamless from China, North America and Europe.
As a Technical Business Analyst within AMD's NBIO organization, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. Your primary responsibility is to analyze business needs, translate them into actionable requirements, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency across EMEAI and global teams. This role requires a mix of technical aptitude, business process understanding, and strong communication skills to ensure alignment between engineering, vendors, and internal operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders (including vendors) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements in clear, actionable terms.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment on priorities.
- Map business processes identify opportunities for optimization or automation.
- Translate complex business needs into tasks, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Identify and document risks, dependencies, and change impacts.
- Provide transparent updates and reports to stakeholders throughout delivery cycles.
- Support strategic initiatives across the EMEAI region and contribute to operational efficiency improvements.
- Assist in managing infrastructure and process improvement projects.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years in engineering (software or hardware) or technical program/business analyst roles.
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean practices.
- Strong understanding of requirements management, process modeling, and business value analysis.
- Advanced experience with Jira/Confluence (or similar tools).
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, Excel Python, data visualization, etc.).
- Coding experience in any language (Python preferred).
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain focus on high-value tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and usability.
- Proactive and motivated to grow professionally.
- Experienced in utilizing LLM-based tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Llama, etc.
NICE TO HAVE
- General understanding of the inner workings of LLMs, retrieval mechanisms, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Capable at recognizing areas where AI can optimize workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
- Python experience for automation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Background in change management or continuous improvement initiatives.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- At least: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Highly desirable: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
