To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Facilities Coordinator to join our team in Kendal UK.

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Coordinator, the Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of our Kendal site facilities infrastructure, services, equipment and compliance, being responsible for various functions for the facilities organization including maintenance and alteration of office, manufacturing, warehouse, truck yards, parking, landscaped areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of the aforementioned facilities. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Carry out routine maintenance on company assets to include fault finding, problem solving and minor repairs to minimise disruption

  • Assist and control contractors, when necessary, on & off site as well as coordinating site security  

  • Troubleshooting & maintenance for office equipment as required

  • PPM and defect response for maintenance of buildings, grounds & facilities

  • Creation and completion of maintenance activities, logs and schedules along with other administration tasks as required  

  • Building and equipment inspections

  • Assisting but not limited to the facilities team works scopes with fire, LOLER, asbestos, LEV, F-Gas, CCTV, racking, ladders, legionella, civil works, Industrial cleaning and security.

  • Capex work and R&M maintenance work

  • Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures set out by Anord Mardix (Flex) and regulations from other relevant authorities

  • Identify and report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, near misses, or accidents to the appropriate personnel and manager/supervisor with urgency, as soon as reasonably possible

  • Demonstrate responsibility and awareness for personal health and safety, and that of others, through active participation in safety programmes and training, as well as appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Follow all safe work practices and standard operating procedures across the site and working area, including maintaining a clean and organised work area

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a facilities coordination or administration role within a manufacturing environment

  • General building trade skills would be advantageous

  • Experience in fault finding/diagnosis and troubleshooting

  • A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement

  • Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement

  • Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft office

  • Hold a driving license and be willing to travel across our Kendal sites
