To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Lead Electrical Engineer located in Henrico, VA.  

Reporting to the Director of Engineering the Lead Electrical Engineer will be based in Henrico, VA will manage a team of Electrical Engineers responsible for providing a range of technical support for sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products/systems as per specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

• In this role you will lead a team of Electrical Engineers providing high level product design and throughout the entire process  (sales, product, manufacturing installation and technical support).
• Organize, coach and develop team to provide strong support for customer inquiries, field team and other technical product related.
• Organize and allocate responsibilities for project development and design.
• Develop electrical designs including: single line diagrams, bills of material &, wiring lists.
• Develop and supervise factory/on-site acceptance test plans.
• Create technical proposal and product description documents.
• Fosters the electrical safety culture in the department and throughout the company.
• Oversee life cycle engineering activities, technical reviews, issue resolution and product description documentation.

The experience we're looking to add to our team,

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 7 years of power distribution experience.
• Candidates must be able to understand electrical system diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and be able to perform troubleshooting in accordance with Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation when required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in or with programs similar to Autocad Electrical and various MS Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and multitasking capability.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Demonstrable knowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable
