SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
This position exists to accelerate organic growth in the fluid power subsidiaries by:
- Leading the introduction of Product Management functionality within the organization and use it to develop a strong growth pipeline for targeted product lines.
- Leading the introduction of Market Management functionality within the organization and use it to direct resources towards the best organic growth opportunities.
- Leading the development of a Product and Market Master Data Hierarchy in support of the Master Data Management program.
JOB DUTIES
Product Management:
- Identify significant product line revenue growth opportunities across the business (starting with Hydraulic Integrated Circuits, Standard Power Units, and Mechanical Drives).
- Develop and execute product growth initiatives for identified product lines. This includes internal identification and alignment of resources to deliver the product value proposition and external identification of target customers along with direct sales support to coach account managers into successful growth pipelines.
- Assist in the identification, evaluation and on-boarding of new product line partners.
Market Management
- Identify data sources and a mining process to develop our proprietary database of all relevant OEMs in the United States – detailing who builds what, where, using which products.
- Develop and execute organic growth processes to aid the subsidiaries in targeting relevant revenue growth opportunities using that database.
- Explore the opportunity to utilize AI and other advanced tools to automate the process in time.
Master Data Management
- In support of the product and market management work, develop a Master Data Hierarchy (in coordination with the subsidiaries) which enables the Product and Market management process to function and supports the introduction of our new Golden Template for the ERP system.
Reporting
- Develop and generate Product and Market based reporting systems – with a focus on tracking the impact of revenue growth initiatives.
Influencing
- This role is a centrally located resource shared across subsidiary companies. Success will require strong influencing skills to enlist the support of the resource owners both within the central organization and the subsidiary companies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years' experience in the design and application of fluid power systems. 10+ years' experience in related Product and Market Management work. Master's in business administration is a plus.
