**Job Overview:**
Addington Place of Shiloh is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients during the day shift. This role involves working closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and standards of care.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold patients' rights and provide compassionate care with dignity and respect.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Illinois.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems.
