Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our Test Team of diverse engineers, technologists, and military veterans. This position will be located in Pascagoula, MS at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualified candidate will support shipyard and AEGIS Test Team engineers working with a highly complex computer system critical to the defense of the United States. As part of our team the successful candidate will provide Engineering and Technical services as a Local Combat System Test Development Director (LCSTDD) Assistant for the AEGIS DDG shipbuilding test program.

Roles and Responsibilities
Assist Local Combat Systems Test Development Director (LCSTDD) in the following:
• Support the AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) Test & Evaluation (T&E) Division Head, located in Moorestown, NJ, in the customer's role as the Aegis Program Test Development Director (APTDD)
• Maintain a local on-site presence for AEGIS TECHREP acting as a liaison between AEGIS TECHREP, Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Aegis Test Team (ATT) and the Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) staff
• Provide entry of the test procedure delivery schedule into the Test Procedure Delivery System (TPDS)
• Coordinate and maintain the listing of authorized engineering changes for each hull
• Review delivered test procedures for compliance with actual ship configuration and the AEGIS Test Preparation Directive
• Primary Local Point of Contact (POC) to expedite on time delivery of HII test procedures from the Test Development Directors (TDDs)
• Ensure waterfront test teams receive, use, and report results based upon the authorized government provided test procedures
• Primary Local POC to resolve Test Change Proposals (TCPs) / Test Problem Reports (TPRs)
• Coordinate shipyard TCP/TPR activities with TDDs to ensure timely and thorough assessment of encountered procedure deviations and concerns
• Control government conducted Test Report processing; archive after sign-off and delivery
• Maintain constant contact with shipyard, ATT, TDDs, and the APTDD
• Summarize meeting minutes, write reports, edit reports, respond to customer questions and participate in required meetings

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and required years of experience requirement:

High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 years of related work experience, Associate's Degree and at least 2 years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with preference given to the Computer Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, or General Science – Scientific Method disciplines. Will consider with at least 6 years of the following experience in lieu of a degree: AEGIS Shipyard experience OR US Navy experience as an Operations Specialist (OS), Fire Controlman (FC), Gunner's Mate (GM), Sonar Technician (ST), Electronics Technician (ET), System Test Officer (STO), or Combat System Maintenance Manager (CSMM) on an Aegis platform.

Security Clearance requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until after the clearance is granted.

Also required:
Working knowledge / ability to adapt with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Office applications
Must be technically adept, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently as required

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
