Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence & Security division is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join our team in Quantico, VA in support of a Maritime effort for (MAGIC) Marine Corps Intelligence Activity Analysis, Geospatial Imagery, and Counterintelligence Support Services program.

The ideal candidate will provide direct support to MCIA to provide situational awareness and intelligence production and analysis for numerous AORs.

Candidate will conduct geospatial analysis of objects, networks, and persons sing geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical factors. Exploit imagery, vector, and other data types to include non-geospatially correlated data to locate, identify, and map objects in the spatial domain. Provide analysis on, but not limited to, terrain mapping, route planning, and maritime geospatial activity.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

At least 12 years of relevant experience with a portion of that experience being within the last 2 years.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to, in the areas as stated below:

  • In-depth mission knowledge and skills related to Geospatial Analysis.
  • A mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight.
  • In-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and IC boundaries and clearly articulate findings.
  • Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions.
  • Extract mission specific feature data in accordance with National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) data standards including, but not limited to, DoD Instruction 3115.15, “Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)”; DoD Manual 3305.10, “DoD Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Accreditation and Certification”; DoD Instruction 5000.56, “Programming Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT), Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S), and Geodesy Requirements for Developing Systems”; NSG Directive (NSGD) FM 1100, “Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Functional Management”; NSG Directive (NSGD) 3104, “Military Services Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analysis and Production (A&P) Program Mission Instruction (MI)”; and NSG Manual (NSGM) 3202, “GEOINT Functional Manager Standards Assessment (GFMSA) Program.”
  • Conduct research to identify traditional and non-traditional raster/vector sources for GEOINT analysis and production using GEOINT data science principles and associated competencies, evaluate discovered data's structure, content, and attribution to determine suitability for GEOINT analysis and production.
  • Observe data management best practice by ensuring raster/vector data are contained in geodatabases wherein features and attributes adhere to a defined schema that meets applicable standards and policies.
  • Extract, derive, or synthesize feature/attribute data conforming to applicable National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) standards, U.S. Marine Corps policies, and accepted best practices.
  • Apply spatio-temporal reasoning, GEOINT processing and methodologies, and other associated competencies to perform GEOINT analysis, characterize events, and discover relationships/trends in the following domains: terrain and imagery analysis, littoral analysis, and human geography.
  • Perform GEOINT analysis and present results in the form of datasets, cartographic products, and other advanced visualizations (e.g., web mapping/story maps)
  • Apply cartographic principles, and other relevant competencies to produce both hard- and softcopy cartographic products that meet applicable NSG policies and product specifications, Marine Corps standards, and accepted best practices.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Customer is requesting a seasoned Intelligence Analyst preferably with multi-INT expertise, excellent research, writing, and briefing skills to customer senior leadership, as they pertain to an intelligence environment supporting critical operations.
  • Master's degree in an area related to the field of work.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
