As a Microelectronics Engineering Section Leader, you will lead a team of custom circuit, logic design, verification, or implementation design engineers working in smaller geometry CMOS (<22nm) while remaining closely involved in the hands-on technical aspects of the design. You will be involved with leading the team that continues to develop the most advanced radiation hardened microelectronics for space and growing our footprint across Electronics Systems. You would be a member of the team whose products have been deployed in commercial, civil and national security missions; including GPS, weather monitoring, satellite TV and radio, exploring the universe; most notably the Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with microelectronics focus.
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams of engineers to keep them engaged and focused
  • Proficiency with EDA IC tool suites: Cadence, Siemens, or Synopsys
  • Expertise in an area of chip design (Logic Design, Verification, Design for Test, Implementation, or Custom Circuits)
  • Knowledge of digital chip design process
  • Experience with technologies < 45nm
  • Familiarity with the digital chip product lifecycle
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Proficiency in Linux shell environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Proven performance management, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills
  • Expertise in developing complex digital and mixed-signal circuits (e.g. Processors, Memories, Libraries, IO, PLLs, SERDES, etc)
  • Significant prior work in advanced CMOS technologies
  • Testing experience with digital, mixed-signal, or analog circuits
  • Interacting with production/operations team to ensure chip manufacturability
