Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a MMIII Branch Chief to join our Integration Support Contract team for an exciting opportunity supporting both Sustainment and Acquisition programs for the MMIII weapon system. The candidate will provide program and project management support to both the Sustainment efforts and Acquisition programs designed to extend MMIII life until the follow-on system, known as the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) is fully deployed.
Candidates may be called upon to augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for:

  • Deployment Schedule Management

  • Deployment Risk Management

  • Mission Integration Management

  • Enterprise Management


Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to accomplish the following activities while helping leading a team of subject matter experts accomplishing the same:

  • Manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate and execute MMIII Acquisition Program Support through all phases awarded by the Government. Achieve financial, schedule, technical and new business performance objectives. Participate in support of new business. Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security. Direct people management responsibility is required.

  • Attend internal and external meetings as required to cover both business items and customer requirements. Review and approve all correspondence delivered to customer as deliverable item. Follow all required processes especially the peer review process to ensure quality of products being delivered.

  • Maintain a high level of expertise in Acquisition related requirements. Execute A&AS efforts according to DoD 5000-series instructions. Ensure program and project personnel retain highest levels of knowledge as relat4ed to their program. Oversee cost schedule and technical/performance of existing contracts.

  • Direct project and program activities or segments of major projects. Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. Assess issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.

  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in leading large technical organizations and/or Strategic Defense Operations and Planning.

  • Ability to identify, establish and cultivate important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders in the USAF and USSF including AFGSC, AFMC, AFNWC, SMC, 20 AF and Space Deltas.

  • Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends.

  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • MBA, PMP certification, Capture/Business Winning, or other related management experience.

  • 15+ years of experience with the USAF ICBM mission.

  • 10+ years of experience with technical project management.

  • 10+ years of experience with engineering processes.

  • Knowledge of ICBMSD and other USAF/USSF client organizational structures.



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
