Job Description
Provides first line leadership tasked with delivering product development contract deliverables and programmatic system level support for existing and developmental weapon system configurations. You will be responsible for the Technical Writing, Drafting, DOORS , and Quality Assurance (QA) team. The team primarily develops products in Microsoft Office, DOORS, and Microstation. The selected candidate will be responsible for the task management of your team; ensuring that they are able to support and are funded to meet the requested deadlines.

Ensures personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform duties effectively. You will identify successors for all key technical positions within your section. Sets technical and performance objectives with subordinates and conduct performance appraisals. Maintains leave schedules for direct reports.
Perform supervisory duties including, but not limited to: hiring, training, timekeeping, travel, performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplining employees. Ensure all personnel are informed of and adhere to all pertinent Company policies and procedures. Ensures adherence to plans, processes, work instructions, and other local policies. Take part in continuous process improvement opportunities to improve process efficiency. Maintain a safe workplace environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

For work assigned to the section: track schedule and other metrics as defined in Program/Project plans. Develop section related Basis of Estimates (BOE), Contract Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Deliverable Requirement Lists (CDRL), and other contract related items. You may prepare technical studies, reports, and proposals in support of project development goals.

Plans and schedules own activities as well as meeting BAE Systems behavior and ethical standards. You will share responsibility for self-development of skills and capabilities with your immediate supervisor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of related/relevant work experience or equivalent.
Additional skills/experience required:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change and innovate
  • Experience with use of interpersonal skills (e.g., ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers)
  • Knowledge of IEEE standards
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees
  • High degree of personal drive and initiative


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with the Strategic Weapon System, Subsystems, and components
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with minimum of 2 years of supervisor/manager experience
  • Knowledge in the use of DOORS, Microstation and/or Windchill


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
