About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Senior Cybersecurity Controls Integrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with government stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01, AFI17-101 RMF for the Air Force Information Technology (IT), and the “DoD Program Manager's Guidebook for Integrating the Cybersecurity RMF into the System Acquisition Lifecycle”
  • Support efforts to integrate Cybersecurity throughout the lifecycle of IT systems (this includes the development and review of Cybersecurity-related artifacts, including System Security Plans, Cyber Security Strategies, Cybersecurity Impact Assessments, policies, plans, and procedures)
  • Manage efforts to continually assess activities and controls to secure information, including gaps in security and identifies solutions to mitigate risk, including business processes, technical controls, and policy improvements
  • Lead the development of security policies, plans, and procedures to meet government regulations and industry best practices
  • Coordinate and review technical assessments
  • Use automated tools to analyze system security control compliance
  • Collaborate with technical managers to ensure required controls are implemented and security processes are followed
  • Build collaborative internal relationships with program and project teams, as well as external relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, other agencies and business partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire date. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Certification Requirement
The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date.

Citizenship Requirement
Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Years of Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma: 14+ years relevant work experience, or
  • BS/BA Degree (typically in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technologies, etc.): 10+ years relevant work experience, or
  • MS/MA Degree: 8+ years relevant work experience.
Other Experience Requirements
  • Proven experience in RMF and DoD Cybersecurity requirements
  • Previous experience as an ISSO/ISSM in a DoD environment supporting Government customers
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity, RMF, networks, components, system protocols, COTS technology, and software development
  • Demonstrated soft skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel and leadership
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Clearance Requirement

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience supporting various hardware platforms and multiple operating systems, both stand alone and LAN/WAN configurations
  • Experience with security evaluations, risk and control assessments, incident response management
  • Experience working with senior organizational leaders, including Authorizing Officials and senior customer leadership
  • Recent experience working cybersecurity in a DoD environment
  • DoD 8570.01M IAM III compliant certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GSLC, etc.)


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
