Job Description
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Reporting operationally and functionally to the DAS Product Area Director, the Programs Manager is responsible for cost and schedule performance on an NGA program within the DAS Product Area. Day to day responsibility for communication and coordination with the GPMO for program matters, ensuring Sprint/Release planning and execution are successfully conducted in concert with the NSG. Ensures program performance requirements are met on the contract and responsible for managing financial performance to include earned value management and program master scheduling. Additionally, manages staffing, risk management, coordinating and preparing weekly status reports to support communication with the PMO, NGA Seniors, the DAS Product Area Director and Mission Systems senior leadership.

With little supervision, oversees engineering, finance, scheduling, and contracts in the execution of existing contract work. Support customer engagement and new business opportunities through formal reviews and informal communication with the customer.

The candidate will lead the program to successful milestones to satisfy the customers and community's needs and expectations. The candidate will identify opportunities and manage business activities with the goal of executing work to the customer's satisfaction and, in the process, winning new business opportunities via ECPs. By doing so they will set the stage to win new business via ECPs, sole source extensions/contracts and for any follow-on competition the candidate will support both new business on the program and the follow-on activity within the DAS Product Area of Mission Systems and C4ISR.

Candidate will engage with the PMO, senior customers, and senior BAE Systems Leaders within GEOINT ISR and ES on a frequent basis to communicate status, business opportunities, understand mission needs and translate that back into the project, program, and business area as requirements.

Salary Range: $140,690 - $239,140

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience working in and with the Intelligence Community (IC), the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG).
  • Requires at least five years leading agile development programs over $5m.
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Must be a team player, effective manager and excellent leader.
  • Must be able to work well in a team of peers and as well as a flat program organization.
  • The candidate needs to be an excellent communicator, both in speech and in writing.
  • The candidate should have strong public presentation skills and be nuanced in their ability to read the situation. Logic, discretion, maturity, decisiveness, and focus are a must.
  • Must be comfortable and effective communicating with GPMO and internal company leadership.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required, plus Masters degree in Engineering, Business, and/or Finance.
  • Experience working in and with the Intelligence Community (IC), the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG).
  • Prefer >10 years of experience leading agile development programs over $20m.
  • Desire PMP certification
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
