The candidate for this position will support a manufacturing software system, Solumina, that controls numerous aspects of planning and production including order of operation, serialization and configuration control of high reliability electronics manufacturing. You will learn a comprehensive software package and assist users with troubleshooting and improving understanding. You will have an opportunity to interface with both the local manufacturing site staff as well as with software experts on the system. As a member of the Operations Compliance team part of the job role will be to monitor usage and identify continuous improvements. Whenever upgrades are made, you will be a key member of the beta testing before release.
Candidates who enjoy learning all aspects of a large software system, using other software systems to monitor/analyze data, puzzling out root causes of issues and mentoring software users should apply. The position is full time on the first shift on a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday and weekends off).
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- Experience using root cause tools/methodology for troubleshooting software or user issues
- Strong communicator who can summarize issues and recommendations
- Experience preparing written directions and mentoring/training others
- Interest in learning and testing software systems
Preferred Skills and Education
· A two year college degree, equivalent military experience or technical computer training is required
· Three or more years of related work experience that involves computer software
