Job Description
The Windows Systems Administrator will be supporting the Trident submarine logistics team for BAE Systems in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Primary duties will include supporting a Web development team, managing a 50+ server VMWare environment, configuring group policy/Active Directory, patching servers, and monitoring and configuring backups. Other duties will include reviewing cybersecurity polices, remediating vulnerabilities discovered in scans, maintaining Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) compliance and various other cybersecurity duties.

Minimum education and years related/relevant work experience required: High School Diploma and at least 8 years of related/relevant work experience.

Additional skills/experience required:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Administration
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware ESXi and its configuration
  • Knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls
  • Must have experience in following documented operating procedures as well as the ability to create and maintain documentation of systems
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with analyzing data for discrepancies
  • Experience deploying a Security Setting via GPO
Security clearance requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly desired, not required:
BS in related field
Active Secret or TS security clearance
Citrix setup/administration
Experience in the UNIX operating system (scripting a plus)
Experience with Configuration Management
Ability to troubleshoot network connection issues
Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management principles
Possess cybersecurity background and training consistent with DoDI 8570.01 Level II (e.g., Security+ or GSEC)
Familiarity with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 or NIST SP 800-53
