Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor who will join the Division of Neonatology at the University Medical Center Tucson Campus. The NNP Supervisor will work in an academic setting to provide coverage for level III and level IIE NICUs; work closely with neonatologists to provide patient care, provide direction and education for residents and optimal patient outcomes.
As a Nurse Practitioner Supervisor, this position provides support for residents covering 20-36 patients; attends all high-risk deliveries; teach/assist/perform procedures including Intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management, NRP instructor. This supervisor will also consult with high risk mothers in labor and delivery. This position requires working closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the NNP supervisor will oversee the NNP team. The supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, performance evaluations, and regular updates to team, procedure/protocol development and rollout in partnership with the Medical Director and other leaders.
Required Qualifications:
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with 3 years of supervisory experience
Experienced in level II or level III NICUs
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing and with prescribing privileges through the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substance.
Work Schedule: Full-time, rotating shifts; days/nights/weekends, no call
