The Division of Surgical Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center continues to experience rapid growth. As part of this growth, we are excited to announce our Advanced Practice Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Excellent opportunity for dynamic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA to join a 13-month program providing high level surgical training and specialty specific knowledge to allow the ACNP fellow to function at the top of their scope of practice upon completion of the program. Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. Our ACNP is expected to be an active member of the Division and participate in clinical, research and education services provided by Banner MD Anderson Center (BMDACC) at the Gilbert Campus.
- ACNP with RNFA required
- Each rotation will have a clinical and didactic component with over 2000 mentored hours in direct patient care.
- Subspecialty surgical rotations will include breast, colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, skin & soft tissue, head & neck, urology, gynecologic oncology, thoracic and complex reconstructive surgery.
- The last 8 weeks of the program will culminate in a subspecialty area of the fellows choosing to allow them to continue to refine their knowledge in their area of interest
The program is highly integrated with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, including opportunities for education and mentorship.
