Our state of the art Level 1 trauma facility and Ultrasound department specializes in high level care to patients with multiple complex diseases. Our Ultrasound department consists of 9 scan rooms that serve highly complex patient populations in both the inpatient and outpatient settings providing care to our adult and pediatric patient populations.
As a Ultrasound Technologist, you will have the opportunity work in a fast paced and busy department with an average of 125 exams in a 24 hour period. You will have the ability to participate in the care of adult, pediatric and OB/gyn patients in many settings that include inpatient, outpatient, Emergency department, procedures, as well as trauma. This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population
Requires national certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. For new graduates, certification must be completed within 12 months of hire. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1-2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
