Description

The Business Administration Transfer Department at Bellevue College is seeking to fill a Statistic Part-time Faculty for this academic year. Bellevue College maintains a pool of qualified applicants interested in temporary teaching positions on a part-time basis. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.

Bellevue College is located about ten miles east of Seattle, Washington, between Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountain foothills. ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Bellevue College Business Transfer Program is the largest program in the state and we transfer the largest number of students to the University of Washington Foster School and the University of Washington, Bothell. We have over 10 faculty including six certified accountants and three lawyers, some who have won awards and all who have extensive industry experience. Our program offers online/ on campus courses including Accounting, Law and Statistics. Our mission is to create an exciting learning environment where high standards are set for students; innovative curriculum and great faculty creates high retention and high achievement. ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR BASE RATE:

CATEGORY-C: $13,665.83 per FTEF

  • College credit courses and required high school completion courses
POSITION DUTIES

As part-time faculty of the program, the faculty shall perform duties and functions below:

  • Teach courses as assigned
  • Promote teaching and learning excellence in the Business Transfer program
  • Assess student learning outcomes using a variety of assessment methods
  • Provide ongoing guidance in student career development
  • Participate in advising students and improving student success
  • Participate in program, division and college governance
QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in statistics or related degree from an accredited institution. Masters highly preferred
  • Teaching or training experience
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in analyzing data
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral presentation
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing teaching schedules and situations
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse teams

  • Willingness to mentor and advise students in career exploration
  • Active membership in good standing with professional organizations
